Book a restaurant by phone in another language
When a restaurant only accepts phone reservations, Tomi can call on your behalf. Describe the booking in your own language and choose the language the AI assistant should speak to the restaurant.
Prepare a callPrepare the booking details
Provide the restaurant’s international phone number, date, local time, party size and reservation name. Include a contact number, seating requests and acceptable alternative times. If you do not have the number, use Tomi in Claude to look it up or check the restaurant’s official website before filling in the web form.
Give the agent a clear fallback
For example, allow any table between 7pm and 8pm if your first choice is unavailable. Tomi identifies itself as an AI assistant and asks the staff about availability. A restaurant may decline the request; making a call does not guarantee a reservation.
Check the actual outcome
Read the report and transcript for the confirmed date, time, party size and reservation name. If the venue requires a deposit or acceptance of special terms, complete that step yourself using the venue’s official instructions. Call credits do not pay the restaurant.
When to follow up personally
For a large group, complicated allergy requirements or an expensive event, personally confirm the details with the venue. The assistant can gather information, but you should check that the arrangement meets your needs.
Example call brief
Call the restaurant and book a table for two tomorrow at 7pm local time. If unavailable, ask about 7:30pm or 8pm. Reservation name: [name]. Speak [language]. Report the exact confirmed time.
Replace the bracketed fields with your details. Opening the form does not place a call.
Cost and availability
Calls use prepaid credit at the destination rate. Your first minutes are free; see pricing for the current allowance and credit packages.
Your first minutes are free
Every new account gets 12 minutes of talk time on us, spread across your first calls — no card, no subscription. Hold time is never billed, and a call we fail to connect costs you nothing. Once the free minutes run out, calls are billed per minute from your credit balance.
